It’s a place where familiar faces often mingle with newcomers, drawn by the promise of genuine flavors and the simple pleasures of traditional Mexican dishes crafted with care. The kitchen’s heart beats in the fresh, handmade tortillas and the careful attention to classic preparations — from savory street tacos to heartwarming pozole served on weekends.

Los Pastores isn’t merely about food on a plate; it’s about the quiet moments that happen when a shared meal connects people. Whether savoring breakfast tacos early in the day or diving into a quesabirria order bursting with rich, tender meat, there’s an authentic rhythm to the experience that matches the gently bustling dining room. The meals come with thoughtful touches — a side of bright salsa, a refreshing lemonade, or a slice of three milks cake that feels like a celebration in itself.

Many longtime visitors appreciate how the staff’s warmth and attentiveness make every visit feel personal, like catching up with friends who happen to also be excellent hosts. It’s this unpretentious combination of cozy familiarity and heartfelt food traditions that sets Los Pastores apart — not as a flashy destination, but as a quietly beloved neighborhood cornerstone where the simple joy of Mexican comfort food shines through in every bite.

Stopped in for dinner with friend. I love that they make their tortillas in house and offer free refills! The beef enchilada, tamale, steak burrito, and tacos (lengua , barbacoa and steak) were what I got with rice and beans. The steak tacos were dry and chewy with little flavor, the lengua and barbacoa were decent. The beans also are made with pork so beware if you are allergic (substitutions are available). Overall we had a pleasant experience as service was fantastic. Would return to try more on the menu.

We eat here on the regular, really nice salsa, great coffee, the breakfast tacos, omelettes and fried bread are awesome. The service and staff are top notch and always happy to see us. They serve pozole on the weekends which is the perfect comfort food after a long night out. Try the Quesabirra it's amazing !

Family owned, great food. I come here often with my parents. Is my dad’s favorite. I am able to order a pancake breakfast for lunch and my dad gets his fav Mexican dish for lunch.

I went for breakfast with my family. It was my first time. The server brought us chips and salsa and wow that was so good. I ate all of the chips and I ordered the Super Burrito. My meal was delicious and the chicken in my burrito tasted good. It tasted real unlike other places with fake tasting chicken. They have sauces you can put on your dish and that was also very spicy but delicious. Overall I’d recommend this restaurant. I will be back again.
